Cast Steel Round (Steel Shot High Carbon)
is a round reusable blasting abrasive (hardness approx. 48HRC) used in wheel blast machines. During the blasting process, the round grain slowly degrades creating a balanced operating mixture. Due to the high energy transfer during blasting, surfaces are cleaned faster and more effectively than with a low-carbon abrasive. Higher throughput speeds and abrasive savings are clear and demonstrable benefits of our high-carbon Steel Shot. More effective blasting also reduces the overall cost of the blasting process.
