Angular cast steel (Steel Grit)
is a hard (approx. 61HRC), angular and very abrasive reusable abrasive, which is used in various compressed air applications. The angular grain breaks in the sandblasting process and thus continuously releases new, sharp edges. When sandblasting with grit, considerably less dust is generated than, for example, with a corundum or chilled cast sandblasting media. This protects your sandblasting system as well as your extraction system and you have a better view of the substrate that is being processed during sandblasting. In addition, steel grit blasting media has a 30% - 40% longer service life than corundum or chilled cast iron and is, therefore, the most economical solution for pressure sandblasting.
