Description of the service

sandstrahlen.biz is an online shop for sandblasting technology: blasting machines, abrasives, blasting cabinets, accessories, spare parts and protective equipment. You can use the shop as a guest or with a customer account.

This is how a purchase works:

  1. Find products using the search, the main menu or the category pages.
  2. On the product page, select a variant or set components if applicable, and add the product to your basket.
  3. Check the quantities in your basket and select “Proceed to Checkout”.
  4. At checkout, enter your email address and delivery address, choose a shipping method and a payment method (e.g. credit card or prepayment by bank transfer) and submit your order.
  5. You will receive an order confirmation by email.

You can withdraw from the contract using the “Withdraw from contract” link in the footer of every page. If you have any questions, you can reach us by phone, by email or via live chat.

How we meet the accessibility requirements

The benchmark for the online shop is the harmonised standard EN 301 549, which refers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, for web content. Among other things, we have implemented the following:

  • Keyboard operation: All functions of the purchasing process can be operated without a mouse. A “Skip to Content” link is the first element on every page.
  • Visible focus: The currently selected element is clearly indicated by a distinct outline, including on dark backgrounds and at checkout.
  • Contrast: Text and controls have sufficient colour contrast. Links within body text are additionally underlined.
  • Text alternatives: Images, logos and image links have meaningful alternative texts or labels.
  • Forms: All input fields and selection fields are labelled and clearly named for assistive technologies such as screen readers.
  • Structure and language: Headings, navigation areas and lists are correctly marked up. The language of each page is specified.
  • Zoom and small screens: Content can be enlarged up to 400 % and used on screens from 320 pixels wide without having to scroll horizontally.
  • Moving content: The image slideshow on the home page can be paused. If your device is set to “reduce motion”, it starts in a paused state.

Compliance status and known limitations

The online shop is largely compliant with the requirements. We are aware of the following limitations:

  • Cookie consent: The consent window is provided by the third-party provider Cookiebot. Some buttons and links within it do not always achieve the required colour contrast.
  • Live chat: The chat is provided by the third-party provider Chatwoot; we have only limited influence over its accessibility. Alternatively, you can reach us at any time by phone or email.
  • Checkout: At checkout, some areas are not fully marked up technically as lists or tabs. This does not affect operation.
  • PDF documents: Data sheets and operating manuals in PDF format are currently not fully accessible. On request, we will gladly send you the information in a format that is accessible to you.

We are working to resolve these limitations.

How this statement was prepared

The information is based on an assessment carried out on 7 October 2026: automated testing of all language versions with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 A/AA (desktop and mobile view), as well as manual testing of keyboard operation, focus visibility, display at a width of 320 pixels and the entire purchasing process up to the selection of the payment method. A supplementary test with a screen reader is still pending and will be carried out.
