Plastic Blasting Media Type A & Type II – Gentle and Cost-Effective

Our plastic blasting media are produced from recovered moulding compounds based on urea, melamine and phenolic resins. They are the preferred choice for processing sensitive surfaces where metallic blasting media would cause damage.

Advantages over Metallic Blasting Media

• Significantly lower substrate attack – gentle on the workpiece
• No metal contamination risk on plastic and light-metal parts

Type A – Grain Sizes

• 0.2–0.6 mm | 0.6–1.0 mm | 1.0–1.6 mm

Type II – Grain Sizes

• 70–140 mesh (0.10–0.20 mm) | 60–80 mesh (0.18–0.25 mm)
• 40–60 mesh (0.25–0.40 mm) | 30–60 mesh (0.25–0.60 mm)
• 30–40 mesh (0.40–0.60 mm) | 20–40 mesh (0.40–0.80 mm)
• 20–30 mesh (0.60–0.80 mm) | 16–20 mesh (0.80–1.20 mm)
• 12–20 mesh (0.80–1.70 mm) | 12–16 mesh (1.20–1.70 mm)
