Chilled cast iron is a cast metallic blasting abrasive obtained from a molten chilled cast alloy and mechanically processed into various grain sizes (hardness 60 - 65 HRc). Chilled cast iron blasting media is designed for use in compressed air blasting systems. It breaks angularly during the blasting process, continuously releasing new sharp edges and thus guaranteeing good cleaning performance.
